P Wave ‘16
From scratch to Gala
Ayush Goel
A
s I lay on stage, curtains drawn, people cheering, I closed my eyes and wondered “Is it really over?” 40 min-
utes had flown faster than the speed of light and I could hear the success of the performance in the applaud
of the audience. I couldn’t actually figure out my emotions that moment, was I relieved that it all went amazingly
well or was I sad that it was over? I lay there, remembering
‘How it all started’... How I fell in love with the stage...
“Washing powder Nirma, washing powder Nirma” I bet
all of you are well versed with the next lines of this song
and it’s ringing in your head already! 2013, I, a faccha then,
walk into the foyer and am asked to dance on this evergreen
‘Washing Powder Nirma’ song. Not aware of what was in
store, I dance trying my best to entertain my seniors. But I
guess my seniors saw more than just entertainment in me
and there I landed under Ambade in the ‘Bad Boys’ crew.
Thus began one of the most memorable parts of my college
life – PWave.
