Don’t waste this opportunity every week by coming to an information session on Wednesday in Room. 162. College counselors will teach and help you with anything you may find confusing during the college application process. There will be guest speakers sharing their experience with you too. 3. Come by the counselors’ office! All of our counselors are very friendly; you are more than welcomed to ask questions, talk about concerns or just simply say hi! Don’t be nervous to talk to them, they love meeting the students and Mr. Voss will be extra happy if you bring him a gift :) 4. Have fun! Being the last year of high school, your senior year should be a mixture of study and fun. Hanging out with friends, going to a movie together and participating in school events, your life could be even more colorful than the previous years. Seniors rock! At last, good luck to all the seniors! And be reminded: your hard work will eventually pay off! HELPFUL TIPS by Lingzhi Wang • Get to know more about the colleges you are applying! There is a good way if you want information about colleges: Contact the admissions offices and ask them to give you the contact information of some students you can speak with. • Think more about choosing your college! You can spend a little time each day thinking about the colleges you want to apply to and why? You should be openminded in this process. • Arrange your time! You can set aside blocks of time on the weekends to work on your applications and essays. It will help you focus on your work and be efficient. • Evaluate your essays in the right way! You should remember in your essays you want to tell a personal story about yourself and what you can bring to a college community.
