THE ENGAGEMENT OF
&
Nate Archuleta
Gabby Flores
COUPLE Q&A
When was the moment you knew you were meant to marry each other?
GF: I have always known I was going to marry Nate when we were in high school, but the moment I was certain was during my
sophomore year at Sam Houston State University. I had crashed my car, leaving me car less with my parents out of the country for
a few weeks. Nate would come and pick me up every morning to take me to school, work and back home every day without any
complaints. Nate didn’t have to go out of the way to do all of that for me, yet he did it because he wanted to. I have always been so
grateful for Nate during that time that I just knew in my heart he was definitely the one.
NA: It sounds very cliche, but the moment I set eyes on Gabby I knew she was going to be someone very special to me. It always
felt like a dream-feeling, but it became reality when my life was in danger. I am a type 1 diabetic, and on Easter Sunday my blood
sugar reached a very high level and ended up putting me in the hospital for a week. Throughout my time in the hospital Gabby
was by my side, and from that point I knew that she was definitely the one. She loved me like no one else could and that is
something I would never take for granted.
What part of the wedding planning process are you most excited about? What are you not looking forward to?
GF: I am most excited about the whole wedding shopping / fitting, but not looking
forward to the anxiety over final decision making. I’m pretty indecisive.
NA: I am excited about having both of our families together for the night. I am not looking forward for the wedding to be over.
What are three qualities you admire about each other?
GF: The three qualities I admire about Nate is his leadership, wisdom and ambition.
NA: Qualities I admire about Gabby are that she is thoughtful, intelligent and kind.
What are you looking forward to most about married life?
GF: I am most looking forward to starting a new journey with Nate and being able to spend everyday with him, as well as making
many amazing memories full of love and laughter.
NA: I am looking forward to being able to spend everyday with my best friend and also to showing her off as my beautiful wife!
Do you think you’ll cry or get emotional on your wedding day?
GF: I most definitely will cry, especially when we say our vows.
NA: Definitely, this has been seven years in the making. It started when I was a freshman in high school to now months away from
getting my bachelor’s degree. It will definitely be the best day of my life.
