Pride
This piece is a tribute to my mother. The way she has taught me to never apologize for the way that I am. The strong single colored shapes convey the sense of reassurance that she has always instilled in me. The clean lines represent the clear way she always communicates and the way that she is never one to hold back. One would always know what she is thinking and where her comfort level is. This piece also is a homage to ‘Willow Tree Figurines’, which are my mother’s favorite collectable.They have no face as well but they always have meaning.
