SUMMER WEATHER SETS
ANOTHER BAD RECORD
The growing drought in the U.S. covers more land
than any drought in more than 50 years, according
to a federal report released Monday. More than
half of the continental U.S., from the Midwest to
the West, is now in some stage of drought, thanks
to the tenth-driest June on record. That’s not the
worst of it: the past 12 months are the hottest on
record, according to a report released last week.
