Jeb Bush (R) shocked many observers this week by reversing his stance on immigration in his new book, Immigration Wars, arguing that undocumented immigrants should not be eligible for a pathway to citizenship. Yet on the day of the book’s release, Bush reversed his position, saying on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that he would support a pathway to citizenship as long as it doesn’t encourage more unauthorized immigration. “I don’t have a problem with that,” he said. “I don’t see how you do it, but I’m not smart enough to figure out every aspect of a really complex law.”
