Phil Barnes
Having started his professional career with Rotherham United in 1996, he
first made a name for himself as Blackpool's first choice goalkeeper from
1997 to 2004. He notched up 141 league appearances during his spell with
the club which earned him a move to Sheffield United. Phil is back at Trinity
for a second time having spent last season at Alfreton Town.
Dominic Roma
Iron Man Dominic Roma was an ever present in his second season at
Gainsborough Trinity. A firm favourite with the fans, having won player of the
season in thenortholme.com awards. He is also recognized by the
management as a integral part of the team - having won the manager's
player of the season in his first season at the club.
Josh Wilde
Voted by the fans as giving the most effort during the campaign last year,
Josh Wilde is back at the Northolme for another year. Signing from Buxton
in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier in 2012, where he also won player of the
year
Liam Davis
Liam joined Trinity from neighbours Brigg Town, where he was player of the
season as in 46 appearances last year, he scored 14 goals and had 5 man
of the match performances. A pacy and tricky winger he likes the ball to feet
and has a keen eye for goal.
Callum Howe
Callum is on loan from Scunthorpe United. The Doncaster-born centre-back
was the only one of the second year trainees to earn himself a deal at his
parent club. The youngster has spent time on loan at Frickley and Bradford
Park Avenue last season At Frickley, Howe showed promise and put
together a string of good performances, including a goal, which helped him
earn the player of the season award at the end of last term.
Greg Young
Greg Young is back at Trinity for a second season. A strong defender he has
experienced league football with Grimsby Town, before long spells with
Halifax and Altrincham. A leader in the dressing room he is a qualified
football coach.
