THE VIEW FROM THE BOARDROOM
with

McMAHON
(CLUB SECRETARY)
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to
Keys Park for this latest home fixture in The
Skrill North league.
Today we welcome the Players, Management
and Club Officials of Boston United FC, the
first time that we have met The Pilgrims since
April 2009, when we lost 0-1 at home, we will
be hoping to avoid a similar result today.
Boston come into today's game having beaten
Workington 5-3 in a midweek 'goal-fest' and
going above the Pitmen into fifth place in the
league, with the same points but having a
superior goal difference.
It has been said on many occasions that our
support, both home and away, has been a very
important factor in what has been achieved
over the last 18 months or so and we hope
that this will continue in the coming weeks and
months as we enter 'the business end' of the
season.
Enjoy the game

So, again, we will have a very tough game on
our hands this afternoon, there are no easy
games in this very competitive league.
The management and players will be doing
everything possible to reverse the recent run of
results and get back to winning ways and need
everyone's support for their efforts.
There is a long way to go before the end of this
season and I am sure that there will be many
twists and turns before the league winners and
play off places are finally decided. A good
result today would be another important step
towards one of these play off spots.
