The Hub will give teams a place to take a break

HSCC creates ‘ hub ’ as paddock centre piece

The ‘ HSCC Hub ’ will be a new focal point in the paddock for drivers , families and teams at all Historic Sports Car Club race meetings this year . At events that include races for the Derek Bell Trophy , the impressive new hospitality unit for the series will be at the heart of the HSCC Hub in the race paddock . At all other events , the Hub will be a central feature where drivers , families and team from each race series will be encouraged to meet and have light refreshments .
As part of plans to elevate the status of the Derek Bell Trophy , a purpose built unit will attend all rounds with seating , hot and cold drinks and light refreshments for all those involved in the championship .
The Hub is designed to foster on-going camaraderie and spirit amongst teams and drivers and builds on the
success of similar facilities developed for some HSCC championships over recent years .
Andy Dee-Crowne , CEO of the HSCC said : “ For many of our competitors , their families and their teams , race weekends are about the social element as well as the on track activity . “ By formalising the HSCC Hub at each event , we want to encourage more people to come along and spend time getting to know their fellow competitors . As a club made up of enthusiasts , it ’ s a great way to spend time with likeminded individuals and gives teams , supporters and family members somewhere to relax and enjoy some time over a race weekend .”
The HSCC season kicks off at Snetterton this weekend with a full weekend of racing on the 200 circuit at the Norfolk venue .
