Discrimination is a Worldwide problem

In Sweden a study was done with Arab Muslims to see if there is any discrimination, due to 20 percent of its immigrants originate from the Middle East and North Africa.

The experiment conducted was two teams involving an Arab Muslim and a Swedish man. One team sent out a brief email of who they are and that they were interested, the only difference between them was using their names.

The second team also had one Arab Muslim and a Swedish man. They sent out emails to the same ads that team one sent but their email was more detailed. The difference between the two men was also just their names.

For team one the Arab Muslim received 36 percent of calls back while his Swedish team member received 52 percent calls back.

It is obvious that discrimination is a worldwide problem, even with policies and acts in affect it is hard to get fully rid of. Every year with studies that are being done it is showing a decline in discrimination but the numbers are still unacceptable.
