Is Housing Discrimination that important?

Finding the right place to live is a lot harder than it really seems especially when a family has children. Many families decide where their future homes will be based on the schooling district and the crime rates in the neighborhood. But for some it is alot harder than it seems to be due to discrimination. Many families or indivifuals get discriminated against to keep them out of certain areas. Some may experience higher rent prices than others or the way other neighbors act towards them.

What is Housing Discrimination?

Discrimination in general is the unfair treatment of a group of people based on their race, color or gender. Housing discrimination is making it hard for a group of people to locate a residence within a specific area because of their race, color or gender. This means for example a young African AMerican or HIspanic couple that would like to move out the lower class rogh side of town to somewhere middle class, but cannot seem to get an answer or approval from the renters because of their race or place of origin.
