pagodas and stupas of Bagan. With seasonal
daily scheduled flights experience a 45 minute
to one hour flight, depending on the wind speed
on the day. Using 12 or 8 passenger balloons
in Bagan, you will be collected from your hotel
and transported to the launch field where a
light breakfast will be served. You will have
the opportunity to watch the balloons being
prepared and inflated, followed by a spectacular
balloon flight with sparkling wine and a fruit
reception after landing.

Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit
Gods) and for its fantastic panoramic views.
There is a volcanic plug with a temple on top
which is accessible by a 777 step climb. En-
route to Mt. Popa visit a local toddy palm farmer
at his hut and see how he collects the toddy
palm from the palm trees to make the strong
alcoholic toddy palm drink and also the toddy
palm sugar candy.

town of Salay, an important centre of Buddhism
in Myanmar with many active monasteries.
While visiting Salay you will learn more about
monastic life, Burmese Buddhism and its unique
architectural style as you visit several sights.
From Salay head east toward Mt. Popa stopping
en-route to visit a toddy palm farmer who makes
the alcoholic toddy palm drink. Arriving at Mt.
Popa be greeted by jaw-dropping setting. Atop
of the mountain is a temple reached by a 777
step climb.

Pagoda – built by King Anawrahta in the early
11th century. Continue on to Thatbyinnyu
Temple, the tallest of the Bagan monuments at
61 metres high. Next, it’s on to Anada Temples
– King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the
crowning achievement of the early style temple
of architecture. Lastly view an amazing sunset
(weather dependent) on the top of Shwe San
Taw Pagoda. It’s a great place to take advantage
of the view over the surrounding temples.

usual Bagan sightseeing, enjoy a sunset cruise
aboard a private wooden river boat. Sitting
under the shade or on the open-deck, you’ll be
treated to fabulous views as you cruise down the
Ayeyarwady River to Shwezigon Pagoda. Pass
by small villages on the river banks, fishermen,
local boats and of course many riverside
temples. The views of Bagan are spectacular.
On board, a cocktail will be served, so relax and
enjoy the scenery. As the sun begins to dip low
in the sky, return to dry land.
