Laos Relatively undeveloped, this deeply forested and mountainous country is completely landlocked and offers those seeking either peace and connection or adventure, a new world to discover. Despite a somewhat turbulent past, Laos is a wonderful country to visit with some of the friendliest people in Southeast Asia. Laos has a natural beauty combined with a mix of the original Buddhist culture and French influences. The sleepy capital city of Vientiane provides a great introduction to the charms of the country. Enveloped in an atmosphere of peace and solitude, Luang Prabang is the country’s primary claim to fame. Step back in time as you wander the dusty streets with echoes in the air of monks chanting. With a dreamlike landscape of notable limestone karsts, Vang Vieng is bisected by the Nam Song River; Xieng Khouang is home to the ‘Plain of Jars’, attracting numerous crowds to the prehistoric stone megaliths whilst Pakse opens up Southern Laos. Laos runs on a languid pace - slow right down if you wish to explore here. Phongsali Ban Houaykay Pakbeng Luang Prabang Xieng Khuang Vang Veng Vientiane LAOS Thakhek Savannakhet Saravan Champasak
