Day 2: Hanoi (B, L) Rise early for a ‘Good Morning Hanoi’ walking tour – a great experience as you see Hanoi come to life. Continue on with a half day city tour covering the main sights of Hanoi. Late afternoon and evening is spent at leisure. Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) This morning head to Halong Bay. Board a traditional junk boat for an overnight cruise stopping at various islands and caves. Day 4: Halong Bay - Hue (B, D) Cruise back to port, admiring the magical scenery. Transfer back to Hanoi for an early dinner before heading to Hanoi Airport for a flight to Hue. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival in Hue. Day 5: Hue (B, L) Today’s sightseeing includes a boat trip along the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, the Ancient Citadel and Khai Dinh Tomb. You’ll also make a stop at a road side village well known for their traditional conical hats. Nha Trang Mui Ne Day 6: Hue – Hanoi (B, D) This morning travel over the spectacular Hai Van Pass making a brief stop at Duc Son Pagoda which gives shelter to disadvantaged children. Make a stop at the top of the pass and China Beach before arriving in Hoi An. Enjoy local specialities for dinner tonight. Ho Chi Minh City Phu Quoc Island My Tho FINISH Can Tho Mekong Delta Day 7: Hoi An (B, L) Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B, L, D) Today begins with a tour to the ancient ruins of My Son – the home to the Cham people centuries ago. The Kingdom at My Son dates back to the 4th century. Today the ruins show testament to the Cham with its sculptures and buildings. Return to Hoi An for a walking tour through the delightful streets of this quaint town. The evening is spent at leisure. Today depart Ho Chi Minh City for the Mekong Delta. A visit to the Mekong is one of the best ways to experience rural life. Explore a myriad of estuaries by boat and visit local based home industries. Overnight at a local family lodge. Day 8: Hoi An (B) Today is spent at leisure. You may like to relax and head to the nearby beach, get clothes tailor made, or simply stroll through the streets. Day 9: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City (B, D) Transfer to Danang Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to your hotel followed by a half day city tour to discover this vibrant city’s landmarks. Tonight head out for a street food tour before enjoying dinner at a local barbeque restaurant. Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) Today visit the Cu Chi Tunnels one of the few intact monuments to the Vietnam War.
