Hello stranger !
W
HOTstuff has been loyally serving our passionate car enthusiasts for
close to 15 years and the crew decided that we needed to take a short
break to end the monotony of doing the same things for over a decade.
Our guys needed to trash the clutter and reboot their inner hard disk,
while upgrading their system to keep up with the ever changing trends
and demands. I took the opportunity to travel but ended up at famous
tuning garages and meeting up with the legends that most only get to
follow on a certain social media platform. Back on home soil, I finally
had the time to appreciate my car more and pamper it with the overdue
upgrades that I had stashed in my storeroom, only to find myself signing
up for multiple track days and waking up at 5 a.m for impromptu B-road
spirited drives with my closest buddies. To change my image, I decided
to buy a new set of clothes to compliment the overall makeover project,
but instead of buying Hermès, I bought HKS!

Months passed and when it was time to gather back at the office, I felt
fresher, wiser and renewed. But I also realised that I was still more or
less the same car freak that thinks about cars almost 24/7. The type
of guy that would linger around my car after parking it for an extended
amount of time, just to stare at it at different angles for no particular
reason whatsoever. While we all came back feeling equipped with
newly empowered knowledge and drive, I also realised that we are still
very much the same car geeks that have toiled to bring you automotive
happiness into your hands every month in the past. HOTstuff is now
back with a more diverse coverage, a sexier new design, even more
talented contributors and a brand new online platform to cater to those
hungry enthusiast constantly on the move.
We realised that HOTstuff had to change with the times. Due to the rapid
pace and thirst for information on the internet, we needed to reach out
faster, wider & harder than before. The one thing that sets HOTstuff
apart from the other online car magazines is that we are truly a voice for
the car tuning in the south east Asia region. Having taken the efforts to
fly to different countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines
& Indonesia, we were privileged enough to have met all these diverse
car owners, garage & tuning scenes that was truly an eye opener.
HOTstuff e-magazine will now be parked under our parent website
- www.autocultureasia.com, together with 3 new spin off titles like
EUROstuff, COOLstuff & AUTOstuff. Each e-mag is dedicated to its own
segment of the industry, focusing on modified euro cars, cool car audio
and accessories, as well as new car launches & exclusive scoops.
I guess some things don’t ever change.
Here’s to another 15 years.
