ITB BERLIN 2014 TOUTS SUCCESS

This year ’ s ITB Berlin , held March 5-9 , reported a 4 % rise in trade visitors and an increase in business volume , which Messe Berlin estimates reached € 6.5 billion ( US $ 9 billion ). The event attracted 10,147 exhibitors from 189 countries .
The focus of this year ’ s show was travel bookings via smartphones and tablets and sustainable practices in the travel industry .

BHS POSTS GROWTH

The BHS tabletop group said it increased its sales in the 2013 financial year 10.7 % to € 91.1 million ( US $ 126 million ). Highlights include BHS supplying the Confederations Cup in Brazil with porcelain and Bauscher , Schönwald and Tafelstern products training progress based on real-time data ; remote delivery of training and results tracking to various devices ; immediate and personalized feedback to trainees ; and the ability to scale and customize the program for different training needs .
