DANIEL DOMÈNECH CONTINUES AS AFEHC CHAIRPERSON
Daniel Domènech will continue as the chairperson of the Spanish Exporting Manufacturers Association for the Hospitality Industry ( AFEHC ) for another four years in his second consecutive term . Along with Domènech ( Vollrath Pujadas ), the AFEHC executive board members include Rafael Olmos ( Zummo ) and Alfonso Acha ( Sammic ) as vice chairpersons , Julio Luis García ( Caff ) in his capacity as Secretary , Sergio Isabel ( Repagas ) as treasurer , and members José Ruiz ( Iberital ) and Francisco J . Ramón ( Infrico ). The executive board plans to grow its membership to nine .
Domènech said he was committed to continuing with the current line of work “ in favour of strengthening and increasing the internationalization of the Spanish sector of equipment for the hotel , restaurant and catering industry ,” while highlighting the strength and resilience demonstrated by the Spanish exporters during the pandemic .
HOBART NOMINATED FOR INNOVATION AWARD
HOBART , the German manufacturing company that deals in commercial warewashing , has reached the final round for the IKU 2022 prize as one of the 21 best entrants with its CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system . The innovation has already been nominated for the Baden-Wuerttemberg Waste Technology Prize 2021 and has also received awards from industry associations and trade magazines .
The energy-saving system for flight-type dishwashers feeds up to 70 % of energy from waste water and up to 100 % of energy from exhaust air back into the wash cycle . The energy can be reused with the help of a combination of drain heat recovery and modern heat pump technology .
The IKU environmental prize is awarded every two years by the Federal Ministry for the Environment , Nature , Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection .
