More hotels are ditching single-use plastic straws , and while one hotelier calls the move “ a remarkably simple thing to do ,” it does take some planning , not just in guest expectations but in finding the right alternatives to all the types of straws a hotel ’ s F & B operation uses , including stirrers and cocktail sticks .
