Twenty-five hotel companies that did not appear in last year ’ s Giants joined the 325 list this year . Among the most noteworthy gainers were two Chinese companies : Shanghai Jin Jiang , which jumped to No . 5 from No . 9 after its acquisition of Plateno Hotels , and HNA Hospitality Group , which moved to No . 47 from No . 75 and should jump much more next year with its planned acquisition of Carlson ’ s hotel group .
