Roland Fasel was appointed to his current role in 2017 , overseeing all facets of Aman ’ s hotel , resort and private residence operations while defining the future vision and strategy for the brand .
Fasel , who has more than 28 years of experience , has opened , renovated and repositioned hotels across three continents . His career includes stops at Badrutt ’ s Palace in St . Moritz , Switzerland ; Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts ; Regent Hotels ; Shangri-La Hotels ; and an eight-year tenure with the Dorchester Collection , where he was general manager of The Dorchester in London and regional director for Dorchester Collection .
The father of two has a keen interest in corporate social responsibility and has supported charities such as the Honeypot Children ’ s Charity , Fashion for the Brave , several military-related charities and the English National Ballet . He is a graduate of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and has an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco .
Meyer Jabara Hotels began as Motel Hotel Associates in 1977 with the purchase of the Holiday Inn in Danbury , Connecticut . Since then , William Meyer and Richard Jabara have expanded their portfolio throughout the eastern United States . Today , Meyer Jabara Hotels owns and operates 20 branded and boutique hotels with more than 4,300 rooms in 10 states .
Following his graduation from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania , The London School of Economics and Georgetown University Law School , Meyer joined the New York and Florida bars and specialized in real property law . He was serving as president and CEO for Servico Inc ., one of the U . S .’ s largest hotel companies , when he and Jabara joined forces . Meyer is responsible for the acquisitions , investor relations , legal , insurance , finance and development departments . He also heads its management contract initiative from his West Palm Beach , Florida , office .
Jabara is a second-generation hotelier with more than 40 years of hospitality experience . He is experienced in the acquisition of distressed properties and all facets of hotels development including site location , plan approval , construction and major renovations . His involvement in the daily management of the company ’ s hotels includes the development of themes , training , staffing and annual planning .
