Visit to San Joaquin Valley College
Our visit to SJVC was an amazing experience. HOSA members experienced careers as surgical technologist, dental hygienist, nursing, pharmacy technician, and medical billing specialist.
A career in medicine or dentistry can be very rewarding. Each day on the job, you are helping others and working with a team of professionals that want to improve patients’ lives just like you do..
We spent most of the day rotating throughout the college and completing hands on activities in each of the departments. SJVC and Mrs. Mathews were great host. They introduced us to some leadership activities that were fun and educational. We all were invited to a pizza lunch and had the opportunity to meet some wonderful instructors. I highly recommend SJVC and their Fresno site.
