Attendance and Punctuality Please ensure your child is in school and on time to support their learning. Regular and on time attendance at school is a legal requirement and essential for pupils to maximise their educational opportunities. Fines are now being issued to parents/carers whose children have unauthorised attendance from school. CHRISTMAS IS COMING! Christmas events and activities will soon be upon us. Please check out the key dates and celebrations coming up. Christmas Card Competition Help us design a Hope Christmas card. The children will be given template so they can design a card. The winning design will feature on the front of our Hope Card. Learning Conferences Thank you to all the parents who attended the learning conferences. If you were unable to meet with your child’ teacher please contact school for s a new appointment time. Can you please send a stocking into school for your child to hang up in the hall, ready for when Santa arrives. Head Lice Please check your children’ hair for nits s and lice every Sunday and take appropriate action if an infestation is discovered. Parking Outside School Could I please remind you that parking, or stopping on the zig- zag lines is both illegal and dangerous, putting both children and adults at risk. Please help to support the school with this issue. Dogs Please remember that we have a no dogs on site policy at school. CHILDREN IN NEED Assertive Mentoring Assertive Mentoring is currently being implemented at Hope which will bring many of our excellent school systems together in one place. It is a focused, child centred and collaborative approach based on a dialogue about the child's present and future learning needs. This term, class teachers will have mentor meetings with their pupils on attendance, punctuality, behaviour in class, behaviour out of class, effort, homework and uniform. You raised a fabulous £328 so far. NOV 27th DEC 17th School Closes (1.15) DEC 20th Teacher Training Day JAN 6th School Open for Children expected of them and what they are trying to learn. They will be given feedback on how to improve and be fully involved in the process. Each child will have their own file and the areas of assessment will be recorded as 'green' if the child is on target, 'amber' if mostly achieved or 'red' if not achieved. We look forward to rewarding and celebrating the children's achievements! Dates for meetings with parents will also be arranged shortly.
