Our team wants to encourage and equip local pastors to reach their people for Jesus more effectively. We are seeing some encouraging steps. A couple of months ago, my husband, Troy, the OMS Mexico field director; Hilda Flores, OMS Mexico’ s Dynamic Women in Missions coordinator; and I traveled to La Piedad, Michoacán, to support our fellow Satura Mexico( Saturate Mexico) colleague, Socorro Ambrosio, as her church celebrated baptisms. Socorro and Troy had planned for two baptisms, but on Sunday morning, another man who had also completed the preparation courses decided to be baptized. Oh, what a grand celebration it was that day— weeping tears of joy, lifting exalting praises to the Father for his faithfulness, and praying for his continued hand upon those who made such a bold proclamation to the people gathered! I can’ t help but wonder what seeds of longing were planted in the hearts of those watching, inspiring them to proclaim God’ s work in
their lives and experience the symbolic renewing power of baptism themselves. We pray that these three are the first of many more baptisms in churches across Michoacán and the other seven states of the Circle of Silence.
Satura Mexico currently ministers in four of the eight states: Michoacán, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, and Guanajuato. Recently, introductions began in two other states where training has occurred. We praise the Lord for these new opportunities in the Circle of Silence and pray that he will enable Satura Mexico to expand its ministry to the remaining states by the end of 2026.
