Pathfinder ’ s new 2500 Hybrid is their first fully vacuum-infused hull and deck offering , but the milestone features don ’ t stop there . Dubbed “ Hybrid ” for its inshore / offshore capabilities , the 2500 is a true crossover , equally at home stalking the bays for trout , the island shores for snook , or the nearshore wrecks for cobia and kings .
The 2500 melds the integrated rear deck seating of the company ’ s family friendly TRS series with a high-performance , double-stepped hull similar to that of Pathfinder ’ s HPS models . It also features a new deck layout , focusing on a large , single-level casting deck , more aft cockpit space , and additional freeboard height .
The forward casting deck , which is large enough to fish two anglers comfortably , is accessed using a beam-wide step that houses a 47-gallon insulated fish box with optional macerator . The deck also features three huge lockers with gaskets to keep out water , plus anchor stowage . Trolling-motor wiring comes standard .
To add space behind the standard leaning post and tackle station , Pathfinder notched the back deck on centerline . This allows for safe maneuvering behind the tackle station , yet detracts very little from the rear casting deck .
The new console features full access to the helm rigging with a forward bi-fold door . Batteries stowed below are recessed into the floor beneath a clear acrylic lid with LED lighting , freeing up space beneath the console for storage . The helm accommodates a 10-inch electronics display and can be customized with a color preference .
Rated for up to 300 hp and equipped with a 6-inch Atlas jack plate ( standard ), the doublestepped hull helps this sleek and solid rig reach speeds just under 60 mph .
With stowage large enough for five-gallon buckets , and raw- and fresh-water wash-down hoses in opposite corners of the cockpit . There ’ s even room to stow more than 20 rods in racks and in lockable under-deck compartments .
The 2500 Hybrid can be equipped with numerous options as well , including a two-tone hardtop , an elevated second station with powerassist steering , a livewell leaning post , dual 10- foot Power-Poles , CZone digital switching and more .
