However, as the painting
progressed the room symbolizing
our daily lives also grew to be
fantastical, as the walls became
to-do lists and the floors became
the calendar. Other themes about
how society treats happiness were
also brought in by the
appearance of prescription
medications in the room and a
phone serving as a countertop. In
the end, our ‘picture’ had become
an depiction of how
overwhelming our lives and the
tasks we need to accomplish are,
and how these tasks keep us from
finding true happiness in the
outside world.
