We expect the audience to
realize the paradox that exists
within
“The Happiness Paradox.”
While the individual shown crams
their agenda with excess things to
do, they combat the ill effects of
such stress with daily prescription
medications. To the viewer, it is
obvious that the individual
depicted should attempt to deal
with their feelings of anxiety in a
more constructive manner. While
society encourages success and
productivity, the adverse effects of
stress are often minimized or
ignored. Implementing successful
coping mechanisms is necessary to
dealing with the stress that
accompanies our hectic,
over-scheduled lives.
