O poor Shanghai, O poor Shanghai ! Who treasured your beauty in the past? With the fluky development of agriculture and textile, You finally regained your pure and steadfast beauty. O my dear Shanghai, O my dear Shanghai! Old City of Shanghai, symbolic place in history, Was once a small place for the innocent civilians, With the exuberant oversea trading business, Shanghai was then promoted as a province. The stupendous shopping malls in Shanghai, the symbols of neoteric and commerce, Yu Yuan Garden, an old garden dating back to Ming Dynasty, was one of the famous tourist spots, but under the baptism of cruel wars, its beauty was gone!
