A New Story of the Greater Bay Area Regents Primary School, Peng, Betty - 12 In the future world, there is chaos everywhere. Humans have already been on the verge of becoming extinct. Therefore, the countries begins to unite, to mutually benefit and cooperate to keep the civilization of human beings alive. At this time, Joyce, a scientist from the United States developed a reverse detector. It could transfer humans to the world of hundreds of millions of light years away, to explore the planets like the Earth that are advanced and rich. Then hopefully they could change the current situation. When people all over the world had learned about this, they began to scramble to be a tester. There were so many people, but in the end, only Tyler and John from Switzerland were chosen. Taylor is the daughter of a wealthy Swiss businessman, she is thirteen years old. John is the son of a famous scientist. He has just turned twelve and has a superb IQ. Under the watchful eyes of the people in charge, would these two kids up to the task? No one could answer, no one could say anything, because they have laid all their hopes on these two children. The day before the departure, Taylor and John discussed their plans with their parents. ‘Is it going to succeed?’ Taylor’s mother asked. ‘If they are not successful, I think that’s fine,’ Joyce replied. ‘There were more than four million people in the population last year. It is only three million people this year,’ Taylor's father said, before John and Taylor entered the reverse detector. ‘We can only fight, whether it succeeds or not, it doesn't matter,’ John's father talked about the ‘other’ world. ‘Oh, by the way, because it is the same world, you should remember that you cannot meet the other you in that ‘world’, Joyce said. With a fit of dizziness, Taylor and John arrived at the Greater Bay Area of the ‘other’ world. They were amazed by the sights before them. Some of the surrounding buildings were transparent, some were translucent, and some were even dimly visible. The surrounding park was even more attractive to Taylor. The lawn was very flat and moist to touch. There were no benches in the park, people were sitting on suspended glass; there were no cobblestone paths in the park, but only the water paths instead. There were no flowers in the park, if you really want to see it, you could look inside the mirror. ‘John, come here. What is this?’ Taylor asked. ‘Maybe it's microbes. This place is well-developed in science and technology. It's normal to have something like this,’ John picked up the scalable minicomputer and began scouting the area. ‘How long shall we stay here?’ ‘I think when Mr. Joyce develops a new reverse-detector and find a new genetic matcher, we can go back.’ John put away the scalable minicomputer and prepared to search in another area. Taylor was not idle. She looked at the people riding the aircraft on the streets outside the park. They wore safety suits and carried invisible mobile phones. She looked at the people sitting in self-driving cars while talking to their families, eating food with a smile on their faces. This reminded her of her family deeply. ‘Hey, guys, what are you doing?’ asked a passing policeman. She was surprised to see Taylor and John wearing strange costumes. ‘John!’ ‘Run, Taylor,’ John said as he ran. But no one could run faster than an aircraft. They had to tell the truth in the end. It didn't take long for the whole world to know about it. They proved this through the research, and finally they decided to help the similar world to get rid of suffering and let human civilization continue in peace. The Greater Bay Area Regents Primary School, Wang, Echo - 11 As I look around, I can smell the fresh crisp air and feel the warm July sun shining down on me. The year is 2050 and I am back to the Greater Bay Area. After arriving at the Shenzhen Airport, I can see the drastic
