changes that have occurred in the Greater Bay Area. The major changes shock me sharply. There are various
changes, but primarily I notice that the air is fresher than before. As I glance up into the sky, I notice how
the blue sky is, but the most incredible thing I see is the sky highway. In the sky, the types of transportation
include cars, air skateboards, jet-packs and gigantic air cleaning machines. While at the airport, I ask the
airline stewardess beside me, ‘What is happening to the Greater Bay Area?’ The airline stewardess answered,
‘It seems that you have not come back for a long time. China treats Greater Bay Area as one of the very
important distinguished areas, and now the Greater Bay Area is even better than Tokyo, New York,
Toronto and other cities.’
As I make my way towards the outside terminal of the airport, the sight is unbelievable. There are
countless floating electronic screens, flying cars, high speedy cars on the roads, robots, sky scrappers, and
super trains. These super trains can speed up to 1000 km per hour. I have arrived in Shenzhen to visit John,
my friend, so I get on a taxi to his home. As I step into a taxi, it is surprising to see how the door of the taxi
can be opened automatically by itself. As I sit on the seat of the taxi, the door automatically closes. There is
an electronic screen in front of me showing the message, ‘Where are you going?’ After writing John’s
address, the car begins to drive on its own. The taxi has no human driver, so it’s impossible to have an
everyday chat with the driver. On the seat there is a massage button and after I have pressed it, it starts to
give me massage. There is also a TV screen in the car. The trip is extremely relaxing and calm because the
road is perfectly flat and I feel extremely safe and smooth. The five-kilometer journey from the airport to
John’s house takes me only one minute! This quick travel is unexpected, wow!
I walk to John’s door and press the doorbell. The door is opened by itself. I see a lot of robot servants
standing in front of the door. They say to me, ‘Welcome Sir!’. They help me take off my jacket, tie and my
watch. John greets me, ‘Welcome! My old friend. Long time no see.’ ‘I am glad to see you, John.’ ‘What do
you prefer? Tea or coffee?’ ‘I prefer milk. Thank you.’ ‘Crystal, give my friend a glass of milk,’ Crystal, the
robot says, ‘Okay Sir’.
Then the robot Crystal only use one second to give me a glass of milk. ‘Wow, so fast!’ John says, ‘Robots
make our lives more convenient. OK, let us go out and go shopping!’
John gets something from his pocket. ‘What is that?’ I asked John. ‘You will know.’ When we stand by
the street, he throws a small car onto the ground. ‘Boom!’ A Nissan GTR super car appears on the road. ‘It
shocks me sharply. So, what is that thing?’ ‘Oh you mean these cars?’ He shows me a lot of cars that look
like toy cars. ‘These cars use nano technology, so if you throw them onto the ground , they will turn into a
real-sized car. Let’s go!’ John explained proudly. We get into the car and after John has pressed a button
inside the car, the car flies into the sky highway.
When we are flying in the sky, everything on the ground looks tiny! There are a lot of floating traffic
lights on the roads in the sky. I also see an unbelievable person, his name is Doraemon! After one minute,
we arrive near a house which looks only like a small room. From the outside, the room looks tiny, but
when we go inside, it is huge! Inside there is a cinema, shopping center, restaurants and more! ‘Marvelous! It
is amazing! The lights are so unique! The floor is so bright and it looks like a mirror! John gives me a watch.
‘From this watch, you can know all information about this shopping mall. I am hungry now, so we will say,
‘Watch! Watch! Take me to the best roast meat shop in the shopping mall.’ ‘OK, sir. Three, two, one,’ the
watch replied. ‘When I open my eyes, I can see that I am standing in front of a roast meat shop. I turn to
John and say, ‘John, are you a wizard?’ John replies, ‘Yes, I am a wizard. Just kidding! These watches can
turn our bones, eyeballs and even cells into quantum. These quantum will move as fast as the light. They
can also use for the world outside, you can transfer into any places that have signals. I have talked too much,
right? Let us go inside and have lunch.’ After I have gone inside the restaurant, I find that there are not too
many human waiters and waitresses here. Most of the waiters and waitresses are robots. Thereafter we find a
seat to sit down, and the robot walks to us and says, ‘What do you need, sir?’ I reply, ‘Three plates of streaky
pork and one plate of Peking Duck. That’s all, thank you.’ The robot runs back to the kitchen. After three
seconds, the raw streaky pork and Peking Duck are on our table. The duck looks appetizing and delicious. I
ask John, ‘Why is the duck so humongous? Why is it so cheap? It only costs two dollars? It is unbelievable!’
John turns to me and says, ‘Calm down, Steven. These are not 100% real duck. The duck is cloned. That is
why it is cheaper than the real duck. We can clone everything these days. Most of the plants here are
cloned, so the air is fresher than it was in the past.’ John describes how ‘Scientist have discovered dinosaur
DNA.’ Because of this, there are cloned dinosaurs on a big island called ‘The Jurassic Park.’
