Hamachi
Korean International School, Babla, Aarav - 6
Once upon a time a family of four along with their pet dog were migrating to a whole new country called
Hamachi. The name hamachi was derived from Hong Kong, Macau and China initials as it was near these
places.
Hamachi was a self-sufficient place which had beautiful farms, fields, schools, houses, fire station doctors
Clinique, airport etc. The family of four included father, mother, son, daughter and their pet dog. The son
was called “Rusty” and the daughter was called “Cutie” and their dog “Fluffy”. One day they went to the
park near their home for some playtime with their football.
Rusty saw a poor old man sitting on a bench next to the park playing some sweet and melodies music on his
flute. The music was so harmonious that it caught rusty’s attention for a while. Rusty saw that the man was
wearing an old rugged shirt in the cold weather. It took him by pity and he wanted to help the old man. He
quickly ran home and told him mommy about this old man. His mommy removed some of the old clothes
of rusty’s father to give away. When Rusty handed the clothes to him, it made the man very happy by
rusty’s kind gesture. It also made rusty feel happy in his heart, he then headed to the park and kicked the ball
high up. It went away in to the near by bushes. While searching his ball in the bushes rusty noticed that the
plants turned blue in color when they were touched. He felt a bit scared on seeing this. He called his friends
from the park who were also playing. They all started thinking how can this be true and started making
some stories by saying this is magical land” WOW “. When rusty and cutie went back home and told their
parents about their experience, they thought that the kids are making a story. But later they too realized the
same that upon sunset when the plants are touched, they turn blue in color.
Soon everyone started to notice the plants turned blue in color when touched after sunset. The whole
Hamachi island turned glittering blue at night. People living on this island were proud to be living there.
They never missed their old homes as this place had everything along with some magic too.
