The Brave Soul Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School, Lee, Aaron – 10 C ristiano! Cristiano! Wake up!” bellowed Gilbert, the big brother. “Mmmm?” muttered Cristiano sleepily. Their parents had gone to a holiday, so they had to do everything by themselves, and they were really tired last night. Gilbert only woke up at noon. Cristiano tip-toed down the marble staircase. Their parents bought a very luxurious house, and a few days after that they had only had a small amount of money left. Now, even Cristiano had to help the family’s business without going to school. Their parents were spoiled and only care about money. “What’s going on?” asked Cristiano. “I dunno……” muttered Gilbert. “Well, I was going to have a shower, when the water turned purple…… CRISTIANO!!” Cristiano had tripped and fell in the purple water. He disappeared in a big puff of smoke. Gilbert dived in there without hesitation, then darkness took them both. “What are these slugs doing here?” a man said. “Well, you're here, so I better keep you sloks here.” Both Cristiano and Gilbert were wide awake. “What are sloks?” they asked. “You guys surprised me. This is Old Shanghai. I'm Lui, known as the head of this inn. Few years before, this had been a peaceful village with no criminals. Now, the world famous gangster gathered his powerful team, super powerful indeed, and broke out of jail. Schools and buildings are closed now, everyone is afraid of him.” “I need to kill the gangster! He was the one who killed my mother's parents and left her uneducated! My father told me about it, is his name Chiu?” Cristiano asked earnestly. “Yes,” said Lui, waiting for good news. “Quick! Gather an army, Lui. Every muscle monster in this town. Quick, quick, it's time for revenge!” screamed Gilbert. Two days later, a group of armed, strong men gathered in a secret alley next to Lui’s inn. “So what's the plan, little boy?” one of them said. “Anyone know where Chiu is hiding?” asked Cristiano. “Of course,” sighed the men. “Everyone know. In Li Sang Han Street, boy.” “Well, tomorrow night, we will attack!” cried Gilbert with many hope. Meanwhile, Chiu and his followers were celebrating about another successful secret attack on the cops. Their hopes were rising to rule the world. Cristiano must upgrade their weapons to win. Cristiano and his army went to their hiding places on Li Hang Street. They had knives, spears and a few pistols. Suddenly, a deep voice traveled through the darkness and into the men’s ears. “Drop your weapons.” said the voice. Cristiano and his army saw a figure coming with smaller dots behind the figure. Cristiano signaled to the men and they attacked. The best person in the army was Dan Sai. He killed enemies by his amazing pistol aiming. While Dan Sai was busy with his pistol shooting, Chiu was getting weaker. Lui had tried to stab him with his knife but he dodged. Then, he killed Lui in a powerful punch in the head. Cristiano sank to his knees. Dan Sai went berserk after he saw Chiu killed Lui. He shit Chiu with his pistol. Bang! The first bullet found its place in Chiu’s head. Chiu collapsed. It was the end of the villain king. Gilbert was looking at the river. “Cristiano, its purple water.” said Gilbert. After a short and quick good-bye to the army, they jumped into the river. They arrived in their house shortly. “Well, I must admit that we will be in big trouble.” said Cristiano, looking at the computer, knowing that their parents had arrived.
