“There’s no time to explain!” Reluctantly, we walked to the palace. Well, I and Vandrel did. The guy in robes ran there like his pants were on fire. “What took you so long? Never mind, just get in!” “Alright…” We all entered the palace, where the king awaited us. “Ah, hello! I’m afraid there’s no time for formalities. You two must retrieve the dragon egg!” “Wait, why, er, Your Majesty?” I asked. “Well, there was this prophecy about two kids dressed in weird clothes. We’re guessing that’s you two. It’s quite simple, anyway. We just need you to get to the lair of the person that stole the egg!” “Wait, that sounds quite….” I started. “Sounds like fun to me!” Vandrel interrupted. “Good! Anyways, we have found Yvon Calvet’s hideout. He’s in a cave just south of here. Remember, the dragon egg is very important to us, so try your best to get it back, or else Yvon will have a powerful pawn! Good luck!” We were just about to leave, but someone tapped my shoulder. “Hey, I overheard your conversation with the king. Do you think I can come?” asked a guard with a bow slung on his back. “I’m not sure, but I guess it’s fine. The more the merrier, after all!” Vandrel replied. “Great! By the way, my name is Lin Zhidong.” said the archer. We headed south, where Yvon’s lair was supposedly located. Not long after, we saw a big cave on the horizon. Suddenly, I felt a presence behind us. When I turned around, I saw two people that looked French holding a multitude of weapons, including swords and spears. “Guys, we’re…” I started, but it was too late. The French people knocked us out. Sometime later, we all woke up in a prison of some sort. “Well, we’re in the cave, but not in the way we wanted,” Lin said, looking very exhausted. “Psst… I can get you three out of here…” a voice approximately northwest of us said. “Great!” I said. “Wait, who are you, and how do we know you aren’t tricking us?”
