BRANDON RESCUE RUTLAND REGIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE of strength will continue to be our most important asset. The rescue service’s annual membership drive is underway — pay a $45 annual membership fee and any ambulance service you use in the year is free. MOUNT HOLLY RESCUE SQUAD 802-775-3133 • [email protected] Founded in 1974 — despite warnings that the town was too small and couldn’t afford an ambulance — Mount Holly Rescue has persevered. The organization is an all-volunteer ambulance squad that covers Mount Holly, Belmont and East Wallingford, and responds for mutual aid to other area towns when needed. If you are interested in joining, please either contact organizers through email at [email protected] or stop by one of their meetings on the second and fourth Mondays at 7 p.m. at the station on School Street. WALLINGFORD RESCUE 802-446-3942 99 Maple St., Wallingford Formed in 1983, when the Aldous MOUNT HOLLY RESCUE Ambulance Service discontinued emergency service, Wallingford Rescue was built on the then-2-year-old Wallingford First Response. The Rescue service was voted in overwhelmingly by town residents, and added an ambulance to the prior service provided by the first response. The service also covers Tinmouth. BRANDON AREA RESCUE SQUAD 802-247-3231 [email protected] The Brandon Area Rescue Squad has served Brandon, Goshen, Forestdale, Leicester, and Sudbury, for 41 years and counting. In the last year alone, Brandon Rescue responded to more than 690 calls for help. The Brandon Area Rescue Squad is licensed by the Vermont Department of Health at the Paramedic level, the highest prehospital level of care available in the state, and is staffed with more than 36 volunteer members, one part-time staff member and one full-time operations chief. Brandon Rescue operates a fleet of three state-of-the-art ambulances staffed by drivers with CPR training, first responders, EMT’s, EMT intermediates and paramedics out of the station on the south end of the town on Route 7. Brandon Rescue also offers CPR and First Aid training, as well as entry-level prehospital training programs.
