The Baba in Bersheva had bodyguards - three of them - one
would excuse himself; leaving two, and at least one guard
remaining always in the Baba's chamber of council. A ma n
known to bear animosity towards the Sage entered one night , the
assassination succeeded in ending his life. It's not impossible
that the story is concocted to bring sha me upon the religious
adherents; the man fro m within their midst's (infiltrator) gets by
guards who were men of little faith but privy to the whole
goings-on and probably reported to their s uperiors. The
religious sages are being attacked so the adherents will submit
to the totalitarian regime , as if they alone protect us .
Parallel to this stream of consciousness, we can paddle a
creek that leads to the conclusion that when Jewish people are
referred to the "People of the Book," it's not because we're
literate. It means we submit to the Law of the Talmudic
Authority; that, being the BOOK that Jewish scholars have
perused throughout the generations of our exile amongst the
nations! Embodied in the flesh are the most delicious senses o f
the human perception, but the crown in the tactile sensations
from perceptions that cannot be rationalized . It is here that ma n
proves his faith; the tribes of Africa were able to live in the
naked sight of nature and maintain civility in interpersona l
relations. The death of the man who never gains control of the
romantic impulse is death of his purposefulness as a livin g
being; his carcass may very well be the nourishment o f
underground creatures.
The Baba of Bersheva wore a shield over his eyes and a tried
and true discipline of the Jewish faith is to restrain one's eyes
from feasting in the female beauty, to avert sensations b y
drawing the lid at zero from without , unto all fro m within. We
should raise the ques tion as to how unauthorized individuals can
pirate the mselves into command of the Torah and Mitzvohs ship,
under the guise of ho meland protection. Totalitarian politics in
Israel is the outcome of Urban Aggravation; alike to religious
persecution in China, and racial discrimination in America .
