as a treasured inheritance, as stated by haRav Kook who compared
artistic creativity to the notion of prophecy. I also have the
commitment to improve upon the world as it came to be occupied
by my presence; these writing serve as the purpose of my
existence.
I, for one always wanted to paint with oils on canvas, but
succeeded only because I habituated myself to exercise the liberty,
study the movies and literature in academic formats, and stick wit h
the efforts in order to achieve what has become wond rous in my
eyes. The same applies to my writings, the strea m of talent flows
from within a cogitate wellspring of qualities that yearn to
accomplish so mething of value unto themselves. My front roo m
has beco me a special place, and art museum of my ceramic
figurines and oil paintings . Are my creative endeavors the reason
for my existence; not ipso facto, they are my confrontation wit h
the hardness of reality. "When you're smiling the whole world
smiles with you." In the movies of yore, portrayals of life
(inspirational history) as seen by the artists that produced the m,
there were human characteristics to the actors who portrayed the
trials and tribulations of peoples' lives.
Fifty years ago, culture merchants dramatized racing cars, sexy
dames, and shooting Indians; central-co mmand MAN thinking to
establish as a preferable culture, the ideas he wanted; supposedly,
to filter down to the periphery. Music, cooking, design er apparel,
and woodshop crafts are hardly taught these days , but in my time,
they were part of the elementary school curriculum. Does the
composer not hear the sounds as the electro magnetic impulses
travel through his brain? So if he has that feeling it's good and if
he shares it that's better. The fads of teen age dancing have
migrated from the ballroom to the dance hangouts and the raucous
tumult that is presently in a state of trance. That does not deprecate
its value as a good -workout. In the post-industrial era, people have
limited use of the molecular structure or even their minds; like a
human palsy rotting unto the death. The image we have of the
elderly is they stiff, cranky, chronic cases. That's not just an old
man speaking, but also the wisdo m of art impelling cognizance o f
creative outlets.
