In new builds, ever-changing selections and new custom options force one to adapt and learn. In renovations, it could be the unknown surprises one inevitably finds when working on older houses.
Communication between the client, contractor, and sub-trades becomes the key to success. However, sometimes when things get busy, even the best contractor can lose emails, forget about text messages, or let a phone call go unanswered. Too bad there isn’ t a better way. Or is there?
Kitchen Fashions is extremely proud to be the first in our area to jump on board the wave of change. We’ ve invested countless hours searching for, and then adapting, software to our specific business. When we roll out our software solution in January 2017, our clients will be the first to experience what we feel is the new to way to renovate.
It all starts with our app. Through our app, you’ ll be able to log in wherever you are. Phone-, tablet-, Mac-, and PC-friendly, our app allows you to request updates, see your schedule, communicate to project managers or designers, stay up-to-date with pictures and selections, and track any overages.
No longer do you need to miss work to go over job updates. Simply snap a picture with your phone, circle the desired area, and go about your day. You can check on to-do lists to see how your project is progressing, share ideas, and keep an eye on your budget.
HERE ARE SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE APP:
How will this app help my project stay on budget? During estimating, we try to encompass all aspects of a renovation, but the truth is surprises can come up. Like hidden asbestos or previous construction not done to code. Although usually minor, surprises can add up. Especially if you aren’ t tracking them and are slapped with a big bill at the end of the project. By logging in, you will be able to track these additional expenses and plan accordingly for them. Maybe instead of ordering that $ 1,000 set of bar stools, you get a more modest $ 300 set to stay on budget. Maybe you don’ t, but at least you are in full control.
I’ m not very tech savvy. Do I have to use the app? No, the app is available for those who wish to use it, but you certainly aren’ t forced to use it. We can also set the app to update you by text or email, if you prefer. It is, however, very straightforward and easy to use. On the client side, options are reduced to keep it as simple as possible. We use it internally regardless of whether you log in or not, so it will be there if you change your mind.
How much does my project need to cost in order to have access to the app? There is no set dollar limit. If we have to come to your home or need to have any back and forth communication with you, you will have access to it.
