H.O.P.E. — Helping Others and Providing Encouragement— is a program that was established in 2007 as a way to ensure that money donated be given back to patients who are receiving hospice care. The fund helps provide education and equipment that will be used to assist with a patient’s quality of life and fulfill a last wish. We show compassion, and we go out of Citizens Memorial Hospital has been recognized as a “Most Wired” hospital from the College for Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the American Hospitals Association (AHA) for the 11th consecutive year. The Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study recognizes hospitals that use information technology to better serve and treat patients and to better run business processes. The Most Wired Award is based on fur focus areas, which are hospital infrastructure; business and administrative management; clinical quality and safety (inpatient/outpatient hospital); and clinical integration (ambulatory/ physician/patient/community). CMH was one of 13 hospitals in Missouri that were selected and one of two located in southwest Missouri.
