The year 2020 brought a lot of changes in our country , with new rules of social distancing it became tricky to go and shop at the local market for fear of COVID-19 spread . In addition , getting all your groceries at a one-stop shop was hard . been a great source of referrals due to our exemplary service . Nourisha groceries serves Mombasa , Kilifi and Kwale customers . We also offer gift vouchers , fruit baskets and free deliveries for customers who bring a referral .
My partner and I decided we were going to bring the market to the home . That ’ s how Nourisha Groceries limited was started . We created posters and posted them in our WhatsApp groups . Shortly after we started getting orders from friends , families , referrals and so on .
How it works - Customers usually make a list of their fresh groceries , meats , fruits , cereals and eggs a day before . We have connections with various vendors that enable us to get these products quickly and also fresh . We then clean and package for our customers and deliver right at their doorstep at a very small fee . We market ourselves online through Facebook , WhatsApp and google business . I needed more skills that would enable my partner and me to run the business better and joined the D . E . AR . MSME program offered by Kayana and knew it would be a good opportunity for networking with other women in Business . I was so excited when I got a call that I had been shortlisted . The training is thorough , simplified and very educative . From learning account recording , supply chain , exporting , taxation and some IT applications that we can use to run the business just to mention a few . During the training apart from networking with phenomenal ladies doing business in the Coast and Eastern region , Kayana promoted our businesses by creating for us branded posters that even helped attract more customers . By the way , Kayana does not only work in the Coastal and
Eastern region , it was a point of focus for our Cohort .
One of the training that I enjoyed and found very helpful and it was interesting was the No Code training . As a startup , while it is necessary to have a website or apps to give an edge to the business , it is quite costly to create a website and publish a domain . Through the No Code training master class , I got a lot of insight about cheap No Code tools that can help in establishing a website .
Welcome to the Norisha community and place an order or give a gift voucher . You do not need to be located in the regions we operate in but you might want to send a fruit basket or groceries for to loved one in the region .
