One of the schools largest swimming teams of recent years took part in the Hawke ’ s Bay Secondary School ’ s swimming champs held at Flaxmere . Nineteen swimmers took part and were responsible for winning seven titles , with individual titles going to Kennedy Molloy , Sarah-Kate Birkett , Piper Burroughs , and Charlotte Cole . The evening started well when the 14 and under 100m medley relay team won the ����� ����� ��� ���� �������� ��� ���� ��������� �������� of the winning team were Piper Burroughs , Jess Mill , Kennedy Molloy , and Charlotte Cole . There were many relays that performed well with the 15 and over ����� ������� �������� ���������� ����� ����������� Sarah- Kate Birkett , and Isabella Turei ) coming in second and the 100m freestyle 14 and under which included Charlotte , Piper , Kennedy and Kate Molloy placing second as well . The girl ’ s team turned in a �������������������������������������������������� Girls ’ High School in the inter-school competition by just four points , 309-305 which is the closest we have �����������������������

Five days prior to secondary schools they competed in the New Zealand Short Course Series . The top results were Sarah-Kate Birkett placing fourth in ���� ����� ��������� ������� ���� ������� ���� �������� ������� ���� ���������� ����� �������� ����� ���� ������ ��� the 50m breaststroke ( 15 Year Age Group ). However , the most success came from Kennedy Molloy where she won gold as part of the Sundevils 4x50m freestyle relay team , which included former Havelock North swimming champion Grace Jones . Kennedy swam last and held on for victory against strong challengers .

Lockdown affected many sports including swimming with New Zealand Secondary School Open Water Nationals , New Zealand Age Group Nationals , and Olympic Trials all being cancelled . During this period ����� ��������� ���� ��� ���� ���������� ����� ��� ������ ������������������������������������������������� came back stronger . We were able to see this at the New Zealand Secondary School Championships held in Waterworld , Hamilton . The team included Kennedy �������� ���������� ������ ����� ����������� ����������� Birkett , Jess Mill , and Isabella Turei . All swimmers achieved personal best times and great placings and
