This year , Mr Morrison decided to create a Havelock North High School girls ’ rugby team . He knew it wasn ' t going to be easy but gave us all the chance to learn and grow a love for the amazing �������������������������������������������������� ������������������������������������������������� aggressive girls who would actually enjoy being bowled over once or twice . But , throughout the season , we managed to combine our team with the under-18 Flaxmere girls team which not only gave us more players but also gave us the opportunity to meet a group of amazing girls , which by the end of the season , we had all grown a strong family bond with .
Whilst our teams were combined we had a strong group of girls who were ready to put themselves before the ball . We may not have won the season but we all pushed through and stayed positive throughout each game . Well done to all the girls who tried it out and made a difference to our team .
We couldn ' t have pulled this team together without the help of Ms Lythgoe who was always on the sidelines cheering us on and making sure none of our earrings were going to get lost , and Geoff ' s amazing tips to keep our team going .
