HBSS Doubles Tournament
Six boys and four girls from our school participated in the doubles tournament held at the Hastings Sports Centre . Games were arranged that C and D grades combined so that teams played more than one game if they had lost a game .
HNHS was assigned two courts to umpire throughout the day . Students who were not playing umpired but I would like to acknowledge Whaingaroa Collier-Rapaea and Zoe Niblett who volunteered to umpire almost every game that they were not involved in .
The results for the day were very pleasing with Whaingaroa and Zoe runners up in the C / D Grade Girls ’ Doubles and Leo Wiltshire and Harrison McGinniss placed third in the C / D Grade Boys ’ Doubles .
