would be cancelled we decided to take the initiative and host an interform competition . This meant we could continue to strengthen our house spirit with friendly competition . The introduction of these form class competitions has proven successful , as we have seen new friendships being formed and new connections being made . We ���������������������������������������������������� these form class challenges in future years .
As the few house events we did complete were sport focused , we never got the chance to challenge ourselves academically and culturally . Although Kauri didn ’ t come out on top , this has been one of the most exciting years of our school lives . We have all grown as leaders and have had an amazing time doing so . Kauri students are positive , outgoing and are willing to step out of their comfort zone when need be . It has been awesome watching the Year 9 ’ s come out of their shells throughout the year . We know they will continue to grow as a family when we leave . We wish all the best for Kauri students and their future at Havelock North High School .
