Miro House Leaders Laura Johnson , Wiremu Shaw Throp , Ashlee Greaves , Buster Johnson
Coming into 2020 , Miro house leaders Ashlee Greaves , Wiremu Shaw Throp and deputy leaders Laura Johnson and Buster Johnson were eager to maintain the Patu for the third year in a row . Miro House started 2020 with �� ����� �������� ����� ��� ���� ����� ��� ����������� ������ Everyone came together and showed immense effort to build a strong foundation for our house . We displayed ���� ������ ���� ��������� ��� ���� ���� ���� ������� ����� ���� showed off Miro ’ s humour and wit through our Olympic themed skit , which left the judges and audience in tears of laughter . We headed into the competition for the Patu ��������������������������������������
���� ����� ����������� ������ ���� ��������� �������� ����� great weather , it was a fun day for Miro House . Sarah-Kate ������������������������������������������������������������ in all of her races . Miro started to show its strength and

passion in the full house events such as the 100m length and the whirlpool event . The teamwork used throughout the day showed real promise and gave us hope of winning the Patu for the third year in a row . The Miro house leaders took it upon themselves to show the rest of the house that they were here to win and also have fun by performing a breathtaking synchronised swimming routine and winning over the judges . Unfortunately , our �������� �������� ����� ������� ��� �� ������������� ������ with our rival house Rata beating us by a small margin of 84 Points . Overall , it was a great day and it gave the ����������������������������������������������������� into the next house event , athletics . Miro House came ����� ���������� ����� ���� ��� ������ ����� ���� ������� ������ enthusiasm by dressing up in amazing orange costumes . Some even went as far as painting their entire bodies orange .
Miro House came together with great participation and effort , giving us the best chance of coming out of this event with a win . It was clear to see how much we all wanted to win by looking at our results . Miro House won three of the four non-championship events and by about lunchtime , it was a competition between Miro and Rata … again . For much of the afternoon , the lead ������������������������������������������������������ relays the scores were basically tied . We knew that we had to leave it all out there . We gave it our best - after the relay battle Rata , unfortunately , secured the victory by 67 points . Once again this sent us back to the drawing board . Although we had lost two events that we knew
