LEADERS ’ REPORT
2022 has been exciting for the school regardless of its challenges . This year , due to Covid , we had the misfortune of missing out on athletics , swimming sports and choir . Regardless of this , Rata House strived to make the most of each and every house event . As a leadership group , alongside Mr Lumbreras , we really came together to organise , motivate and uplift our house as a whole . The year started off with the ‘ get-wet ’ competition , which was held in the school pool . This competition included the flutter board and kayak relay as well as
the synchronized swimming events . We saw massive shifts from some junior students , stepping in last minute to make sure we had enough people . The house leader synchronised swimming was a true highlight of the year . Hours of practice went into our expertly choreographed routine , and presenting the final piece was something special . Rata House put in a good all-around effort to come second equal in the get-wet competition .
Our next events were dodgeball , basketball and volleyball . These events saw the whole house come together to compete and support . The house chants that reverberated in the gym were the perfect presentation of Rata ' s house spirit . Our whole Year 13 group came to support our juniors in their games which uplifted their
