FUTSAL - JUNIOR BOYS

The Senior A boys futsal team were in good form at the beginning of the year . The HBSS champs were first up , with the team achieving their objective of winning the final . In a very closely contested match against Hastings Boys ’ High School , the team prevailed 2-1 . This was after winning the semi-final over Napier . Next were the NZSS finals in Wellington and impressively , they finished pool play on top after an unbeaten run . Pool play is tough because only the winner makes it through to the next round . In their quarter final , they played Scots College and , unfortunately , a late goal by Scots ended their dream of a top finish . The playoff for 5th and 6th ended in a 3-4 loss to Selwyn .
