the focus was clearly on a family-friendly atmosphere . Outside was a covered seating area with heaters and sheepskin rugs and blankets on every chair . We bought hot chocolates from the outside stall and took our seats . There is also an indoor cafe area serving food and drinks .
Inside the Stables , we were lucky enough to see the Biscuiteers display , a magnificent hand-made gingerbread model of Waddesdon Manor . The detail was exquisite and it can be seen as part of the Hygge event until 19th March . The rest of the Stables provided activities for children including games , films , a wendy house , and comfy sofas for the parents . There were even slippers available at the door to change into !
After a lovely day we took the shuttle bus back down to the car park .
Hygge is a really lovely and unique event so don ’ t miss it , make sure you set aside a weekend soon to catch the last days of it .
