March 2014 Letter from the Editor As I write this the flood waters are lapping at the office door! I am not alone, however, as so many of you have been affected in one way or another. My thanks go to all the Hiya Bucks advertisers who rallied round to help out one of our readers recently – your help was very much appreciated. The facebook post about donations of toys for the children affected by the floods was met with such a huge response the hotel have been able to create a playroom! This proves to me that community spirit lives on and also, dare I say it, social media works.
