Chilterns Cycle Challenge Rennie Grove Hospice Care has opened registration for its 2015 Chilterns Cycle Challenge. The event, which takes place on 22 March, will mark the 5th time the Chilterns Cycle Challenge has taken place. Once again it will be supported by television presenter Fern Britton. The course, which starts and finishes in Aylesbury, is suitable for everyone from those new to cycling, people who want to ride through the beautiful Chilterns countryside and the more committed cyclists. With a 10k, 35 mile or 75 mile route to choose from there should be something to suit all abilities. Entry to the 10k route costs £17, £20 for 35 miles and £30 for the 75 mile option. Child entry is just £10 and under 5’s are free. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, medal and water along the way. Last year the Chilterns Cycle Challenge attracted more than 500 participants and raised around £40,000 to support the charity’s nursing and support services for local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illness. £32,000 funds one of the charity’s specialist hospice at home nurses for a year. Ruth Proudfoot, Events Manager at Rennie Grove Hospice Care, said “This could be a great opportunity to buy a place for someone as a Christmas gift and is the perfect incentive to get fit in the new year! We are hoping 2015 will prove even more popular than previous years, so don’t delay; sign up now to guarantee your place.” For further information and to sign up, please go to www.renniegrove.org/chilternscycle.
