Migraines and Me
I was eleven when I got my first migraine.
This is my story about migraines and me.
CHAPTER 10
Last month I told you about my unfortunate
migraine in January, well in February I actually
had two migraines! I had one that wasn’t too
bad, as I have had so many now I can deal
with them a lot better than I used to. Then the
following day I had another! When you get
one it’s as if something drops to the bottom
of your stomach and you feel gutted as it’s
such a disruption to your day, just a real pain
really!
It seems that the month of the year matches
the amount of migraines I have had this year!
March is so far, so good, but I will keep you
updated.
I want to say a massive thank you to
everyone that has emailed in with their stories
and advice on how they have overcome
headaches. I’m so glad you are being so
open and willing to share your advice and
stories and even ask me for advice! I thought
that would never happen.
We used to watch it at home
all the time! If you watched ‘I’m
a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ a few years
ago you will know that Gillian McKeith is not
the best example of a healthy person! But
some of what she said does make sense.
Your diet really does affect your health.
I hear a lot of people say ‘I’m going on a diet’
and it’s so unnecessary! You do not need
to restrict yourself from eating certain foods
because you think they are unhealthy unless
you really know it’s the right thing to do. Did
anyone watch “Food Unwrapped” about
gluten-free food? I can’t believe how many
people said they didn’t eat gluten because
they thought it would make them fat. The
only reason to give up gluten is if you are
intolerant or allergic. I’m intolerant to gluten,
Emily found that out for me, and since I’ve
given it up my migraines have
been so much better!
This month the wonderful Emily Lamont
has written an article for you all to read as
well. She is the incredible nutritionist I have
been telling you about! I would not have the
knowledge I have on nutrition I do now if it
wasn’t for her.

What You Eat’ that Gillian McKeith presented?
