Dog of the month
Hi, my name is Marley, I’m a 5 year old Border
Collie type. I am deaf and my vision is not 100%
but that doesn’t stop me being an affectionate
boy – I love to have a fuss & a cuddle.
I can be a little anxious in new environments but
once I have settled I cope really well. I will need
owners who can be patient & understanding.
I can live with another dog (this would actually
help me adjust & settle in), possibly a cat and
would like any children in my new home to be
aged 14 years and over.

It’s been reported that about one in three pets will need unexpected
vet treatment every year. It can be a distressing, worrying and
expensive time. You want to do the very best for your pet.
Some people risk things by not taking out pet insurance but it’s an
anxious decision and it’s best to have peace of mind.

you can then rest easy knowing that your pet is taken care of.
I know of two sick dogs which cost thousands in vet bills but the
insurance policies paid up well.
Another awful scenario is that when you’re faced with an
unexpected big vet’s bill you have to empty your bank account,
borrow the money or even consider that it’s all too expensive and
your beloved pet will have to be put to sleep. It’s been known to
happen. Truly terrible.
There are a lot of companies selling pet insurance and so it’s worth
comparing the sometimes wordy policies before you take the
plunge. And, like most other insurance policies, shop around again
when it comes up for renewal a year later. The price difference can
be a lot.

dogs who just might cause injury or damage property, or cover for
